Gilles Thomas is received his MD and PhD degrees from the university of Paris (France) and is presently professor at University Lyon 1 and at Synergie-Lyon-Cancer Foundation. His scientific interests comprise the search for genetic variations that predispose to tumor development and the identification of somatic mutations acquired by cancer cells during the tumorigenic process which may be indicative of tumor etiology or that are associated with tumor phenotype.
